Healthy Eating
One-Pan Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon with Asparagus

This is a super-simple, restaurant-quality dinner that’s ready in under 25 minutes. It uses just 6 core ingredients (plus salt & pepper), clocks in at roughly 4g net carbs per serving, packs 30g+ of protein, and delivers big, bright flavor from garlic, lemon, and rich butter that turns into a silky pan sauce. Salmon brings healthy omega-3 fats; asparagus adds fiber and crunch without the carbs. Perfect for keto, low-carb, or just healthy eating.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 skin-on salmon fillets (6 oz / 170 g each)
1 lb (450 g) fresh asparagus, woody ends trimmed
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (or olive oil for dairy-free)
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
Zest + juice of 1 large lemon
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or foil for zero cleanup.
Place the salmon fillets and asparagus spears on the sheet in a single layer. Season everything generously with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Spoon or brush the mixture liberally over the salmon and asparagus so every piece gets coated.
Bake 12–15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender-crisp. For extra flavor and golden edges, switch to broil for the final 1–2 minutes (watch closely).
Spoon the lemon-garlic butter sauce from the pan over the salmon and serve immediately.
Quick Tips for Maximum Flavor & Ease
Skin-on salmon gets crispy edges in the oven — highly recommended.
Want a spicy kick? Add ½ tsp red pepper flakes to the butter mixture (still minimal ingredients).
Leftovers reheat beautifully in a hot skillet for 2 minutes.
Swap protein? Use 4 bone-in chicken thighs instead — increase bake time to 22–25 minutes. Same method, same big flavor.
Per serving (approx.): 480 calories, 35g fat, 30g protein, 4g net carbs. Healthy, satisfying, and ridiculously tasty with almost no effort. Enjoy!
That’s it for this week.
Keep showing up, keep moving & eating healthy — and as always, B happy! 🏃♂️
